Accessibility

Atrium is committed to providing cardholder-facing and administrative back-office websites that are accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.

Atrium websites endeavor to conform to levels A and AA of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 and the refresh of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. These guidelines provide recommendations on how to make web content accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly for all people.

The Atrium websites have been built using code compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS. These sites display correctly in current browsers and use standards compliant HTML/CSS code which means any future browsers will also display it correctly.

Atrium has secured the services of accessibility experts who have performed ad-hoc and assistive technology testing according to accessibility industry best practices and guidelines.  A variety of manual inspection methods were utilized and Atrium is working with these experts to remedy violations. Evaluation of Atrium Campus and Atrium Connect (aka Studentlink) involved a combination of manual and functional testing. Level Access (Level) tested a selection of pages representative of Atrium Campus and Atrium Connect (aka Studentlink) (referred to as “in-scope features and flows”) using a testing methodology that is aligned with the Web Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology 1.0. Assistive technology, including a screen reader (JAWS 2022), was used along with exclusive use of the keyboard to determine support for the WCAG criteria. Level Access also functionally tested user flows with JAWS 2022.

We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of our sites up to the same level of overall web accessibility. In the meantime should you experience any difficulty in accessing the Atrium Connect or Atrium Admin websites, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@atriumcampus.com.
